RECREATIONAL 4WD COURSES
Recreational courses are held at Dayboro, north of Brisbane
4WD INTRODUCTORY OFF-ROAD DRIVING COURSE
Gain confidence as you learn the capabilities and limitations of your 4WD or AWD vehicle. We offer an introduction to off road driving to those who want to learn new skills or perhaps refresh old ones. Some of the topics we cover are;
- Hill climbs and descents
- Vehicle Preparation
- Stall Recovery
- Water Crossings, and
- Snatch Strap Recovery
Our introductory 4WD course aimed at the recreational driver, and are structured to practice you in reading the terrain as well as obstacle negotiation. This is a full day course.
These sessions are designed with little or no theory component, just common sense practical solutions to off road situations.
This is a full day course.
Cost: $385 (includes two drivers per vehicle)
SAND DRIVING COURSE
Sand driving courses are held on Bribie Island
Sand in its various forms can present the driver with different challenges to other types of terrain.
Whether visiting our beaches in Southeast Queensland or tackling the desert regions, our sand course can help equip you for the job.
Join us on one of these days and learn the techniques, how to identify particular hazards and most importantly those recovery techniques. Sand driving is a half-day course.
Courses are held at Bribie Island, Vehicle Access Permit for the course is included in Course cost.
Cost: $330 (includes two drivers per vehicle)
4×4 ADVANCED DRIVING WEEKEND
Our training weekends are for those who are likely to find themselves off the beaten track or are planning extended travel. This is a fun weekend away with the bonus of learning new skills.
Advanced driving techniques are a feature of this weekend.
Participants will be guided through various obstacles as they tackle a route designed to provide plenty of challenges. All the recovery techniques needed are covered & winching skills will be put to good use as progress is made from one scenario to another.
Other subjects include:
- vehicle set up
- trip preparation
- tyre repairs & much more.
Course participants can relax around the fire at our overnight camp stop.
This is a hands on course and vehicles should be fitted with or carry a winch and winching kit.
Cost: $750
1 DAY MT. MEE TOUR
If, like many people who participate in a 4wd course, you’re still a little unsure about hitting the dirt on your own, why not join in our 1 Day Mt. Mee Tour.
This tour is for the novice but also has some more technical low range driving just to test your skills, all under the watchful eye of our experienced guides.
Cost: $180 per vehicle
1 DAY GLASS HOUSE MOUNTAINS TOUR
The Glasshouse Mountains is a beautiful part of South East Queensland. Come and join us on our 1 day tour and see it from a different perspective whilst having a little fun off-road.
This tour is for the novice but also has some more technical low range driving just to test your skills, all under the watchful eye of our experienced guides.
Cost: $180 per vehicle
HINTERLAND TOUR
This tour incorporates the 1 Day Mt Mee tour, but continues the next day into the Conondale ranges and finishes at Woodford after an overnight stop at a local camping ground.
This tour is for the novice but also has some more technical low range driving just to test your skills, all under the watchful eye of our experienced guides.
Cost: $550 per vehicle
Mystery Tour
This is a 3 day tour for those who don’t mind getting off the beaten track. Discover roads less traveled and sleep under a sky with a 5million star rating!!
